If asked about a basic instinct, the vast majority of people would respond with ideas concerning “survival.” Yet, consider this idea and related action may undermine your true nature. Basic instinct may be something else entirely. When will you move beyond what you think you know? When will you move beyond imposed, cultural ideas?
Since the Secret encourages you to explore the depths of yourself to discover elements of your own uniqueness, then your basic instinct is actually to permit yourself to evolve. This would involve taking risks that have the potential to stretch you. What you choose not to do for others, you also fail to do for yourself.
What you choose to be is a reflection of yourself because it is chosen by you. Everything you do, every thought and behavior are undertaken for the benefit of yourself. You aim to open your eyes to reality, but you don’t always choose to see. What is fundamentally good for you is also fundamentally beneficial to others.
The idea of listening to your heart, mind and soul about your passions, enables you to detect what other people enter your life to help you see. Everything in life, how you perceive, depends on what you seek to be. This is a way of saying you evolve to admit what you already are. Basic instinct is a clue to help recall your forgotten reality.
