You may be the sort of person who decides, “where the will exists, you’ll find a way.” It’s not everyone who expresses that kind of determination. If you become engrossed in a situation and seek to work it out at all costs, then you may find yourself searching deep within for answers. How patient and open you are will influence your results.

Rhonda Byrne’s book, The Secret reminds us that we can attract and generate the amount of courage necessary to manage and overcome any difficulties we face. As you recognize the strength of your feeling of involvement, you’ll discover you can tap into positive feelings inside that matter. Learn to extend the power of intention from inside yourself. Tell yourself that you are up to this task and you will simply accomplish it based on beliefs.

I was moved by the use of the word “try” by Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith, a contributor to The Secret. During an interview, he reminded readers his definition of this term is ‘to fail with honour.’ In essence, word choice demonstrates you will anticipate failure, which is another way to invite it into your life. If you evolve to express strong and sincere feelings which are more goal-oriented rather than failure-oriented, your results will change.

Above all, teach yourself mental attitudes can change and you have the ultimate power to change your own. Highly desirable qualities may be developed over periods of months or years, but that isn’t to say you won’t accomplish great things quicker within you. In all likelihood, you may not go to bed tonight as you are and wake up at the height of enlightenment it takes others years to achieve. Yet, your road to greater self-awareness begins and ends with you. The length of journey matters less than what you learn.
