    One of Bob’s secrets to living a fulfilling life is to live ‘on purpose’. When we have no goals or dreams and therefore no substantial purpose in our lives, we quite naturally feel like our life has no meaning. We are listless, unfocussed, easily distracted, always tired, bored and usually miserable.

    We often try to drown this lack of purpose in distractions such as TV, alcohol, the opposite sex, shopping, drugs, eating, and my number 1 distraction, computer games, among others. All of these things are fine on their own but when they are used to dull the perceived pain of living they become a crutch and addiction.

    It is pointless to try to break these addictions without finding a purpose, because nature abhors a vacuum and unless you consciously fill the void you that then create in your life you will just slip in another addiction. For example an eating addiction could turn into a dieting addiction, TV into reading, drinking into TV and so on.

    The only way to be rid of destructive addictions permanently is to find purpose in your life. Purpose cannot be given to you by another either. You must find and accept it for yourself.

    If you take your purpose from another, a spouse, friend, parent etc. no matter how much you achieve you will never be totally satisfied, or fulfilled. You will always feel like you have been living someone else’s dream. Which you have. You can also never reach your full potential when you are living off your purpose.

    You do the same when you force your purpose and dreams onto others. You take from them their purpose, and the ability to reach their full potential.

    When you live on purpose however, you feel energized, and you work harder, faster, better and it doesn’t feel at all like work. It’s like you are doing your favorite hobby.

    As Bob Doyle says on The Secret;

    Action will sometimes be required. But if you are doing it in line with what the universe is trying to deliver, it’s going to feel joyous; you’re going to feel so alive. Time will just stop. You could do it all day.

    So what does this have to do with my good weekend?

    Well this weekend I have been working on my businesses and web pages. Particularly I made a new theme which I will be uploading onto this site soon, and I spent some time in research and doing emails for my Life Success Partnership business.

    I have been working relentlessly with barely a break, and only a few hours of sleep, but I feel far more awake and energized than even my best days at my ‘job’ with a full nights sleep. I have had a great time despite having worked so ruthlessly.

    This was because I was working on purpose. All the things I did were in line with what I intend for the future and all the ‘work’ in them was replaced by ‘fun’.

    I am also energized by how much help I am attracting towards getting the partnership up and going. This is going to be a big thing for those lucky enough to be involved.
