It is not your part to guide or supervise the creative process. All you have to do with that is to retain your vision, stick to your purpose, and maintain your faith and gratitude.

The greed and impatience of the poor
|

While common culture tends to portray the rich and powerful as the ones who are greedy and impatient, now I am aware of it I am noticing the reverse.
I have been talking with a lot of coworkers lately about the fact that I am starting a company and making alot of websites to bring in extra income, and eventually replace my job.
When I discuss these ideas with them and they give a positive response I usually offer to work with them on a project together. I volunteer to help them with the technical aspects if they provide the content, and we can split the profit from the site. Or I provide the tech and the content and they translate it.
Every single time I have suggested it, the response was the same. They would rather be paid by the hour for their work because they don’t want to wait 6 months for the return on their work. Even if that return is then paid for the rest of their lives.
From my mindset I find this unbelieveable. It is epsecially noticable with the Proctor Partnership Proposal. I have offerred to several friends who are translators that if they were prepared to translate 10k AUD worth of text, they could have a share in the company, that would, after 2 or so years, pay them at least 10k a year probably more like 50-100k or more eventually a year, for the rest of their life.
I would much prefer to do this than get an investor to give me money, then hire them with that same money to do the same job…
But they refuse to wait to see the results of their work. They want the money now, even if it is tiny compared to the long term profits. This need for instant gratification, and total lack of vision for the future is just amazing and stunning to me.
I am effectively offering them this : I can give you $10 today, or if you wait a week I can give you 10$ every day for ever. Without fail, everyone I have spoken too wants the money now, now, now and not a moment later.
If you look around at the increases in debt but decreases in savings prevelent in our society, this same idea has obviously become a deeply rooted part of our culture. There is no sense of patience. We want to buy now and pay later.
Delaying gratification is one of the most important parts of gaining wealth. So it should have been no suprise to me that the people around me, all obviously of a poor mentality, would feel this way. It is just difficult sometimes to realise that not everyone sees things the same way you do.
We are also treating the environment the same way, and our friends and lovers also. The results of this are plain to see. The plant is very close to cashing the cheque we have spent the last few hundred years writing (since the industrial revolution). I have a very ominous feeling though that this cheque is going to bounce…

Making a big deal small

One thing I have noticed about living life on purpose is that anything that isn’t directly to do with your goal quickly becomes unimportant to you.
On top of that, as your vision of your goal gets clearer, and your confidence builds up, the obstacles to your goal seem smaller and smaller in comparison. What were once great mountains in your path seem to become mere bumps in the road.
Recently I have been feeling this shrinking in distractions and obstacles. Things I used to feel like I couldn’t live without, I have all but lost interest in, and my mind has picked up so much speed and clarity that I can find a way around any obstacles the moment they come into sight.
Anything you put your mind to becomes possible, because once your mind is totally set on a single thing instead of half asleep, distracted and dispersed over dozens, if not hundreds of ‘I want’ and ’I wish’-es then you can truly see what an amazing thing it is we have available to us.
If you do not have any goals, or you do, but are not living on purpose towards them, then set them or get on purpose. Even setting a small goal and following it through will give you a great sense of accomplishment and purpose. Once you start the habit of setting and achieveing goals, it becomes addictive, because the natural high from it is so much more powerful than anything else.

The Secret of Snowboarding
|
| January 22nd, 2007 under Articles.
|
|
Thanks to the deposit of my unpaid salary, I was able to go snowboarding here in Japan, and in my life actually, for the first time last weekend. It was also my first experience of a snowfield, something of a rarity back in Australia. I know we have a few snowfields in Aus, but they were always too far away for me to bothered going.
But it was a great experience, both for the fun of the snowboarding itself, and also for the lessons I learnt. Lessons about myself and about the learning process.
I often teach that knowing a fact intellectually in your conscious mind, and living it in your subconscious are two completely different things. But even that concept itself was something I think I knew more in my concious mind than my subconcious mind until this weekend.
Learning a new sport, especially one which uses a totally different form of motive force and balance, is a real test of the link between conscious thinking and subconscious feeling. My friend who arranged the whole trip is quite an adept snowboarder, and he spent a while telling me what to do to control the board and to turn, and stay upright.
Intellectually, I completely understood what he was saying. I could even do the physics in my mind on how to distribute my weight when turning, and how to control the board etc. However, in practice, my body refused to do the things my mind told it, instead relying on the ‘programs’ which already existed in my subconcious in regards to balance especially.
My natural reaction to the board turning was to lean more upright to maintain my balance, but this serves only to dig the ege of the board into the snow and flip you over. To complete a turn requires to lean into the turn then stand momentarily and redistribute your weight to the other edge to complete it.
In the two days of trying, I only succeeded in completing this three times. All three were at very slow speeds where I could think through the process as I did it. It will take several more days of practice until I can put the process into my subconcious and make it part of my natural behaviour.
This is why repetition is so important when you are trying to learn something new, especially when trying to shape your personality into a more successful one.
If you want to attract something into your life, you need to become the sort of person that has that thing already. You need to program your subconcious on how to make that turn before you can actually do it properly. The same goes for successful living.
Luckily you can practice in your mind, using your imagination, and this will work just as well as physically experiencing the event.
The best bit about practicing in your mind, it hurts a heck of a lot less when you fall over!

Taking Action to Bring the Attraction
|
| January 18th, 2007 under Articles.
|
|
A lot of people when they first hear about the law of attraction seem to think it means they can just sit on their couch and imagine good things, such as a lot of money, and it will just fall out of the sky.
Opponents particularly bring this point up and like to point out how no one got rich sitting on their couch dreaming without doing some work.
Well they are half right. You can’t just sit and dream about being rich. As I mentioned last week you need to start acting on purpose. To start feeling like you are already there, or if this is difficult for you to feel then try feeling like you are moving towards it. That you are making progress.
It’s when you make a decision and start to take action that the Law of Attraction, The Secret, starts to kick in. In my life all of the goals I have achieved, all of the successes I have experienced, were not directly attracted to me. What I mean by this is that they didn’t fall out of the sky into my lap.
What I did attract without fail every time I was acting on purpose was the resources I needed to allow me to achieve my goal. I still had to reach out, take the resources, and use them. e.g.
- I would meet the person I need to help me, but I still had to follow up and maintain that relationship.
- I would get the job interview despite everything weighted against me, but I still had to attend and put in a good performance.
- I would get offerred the opportunities to do what I wanted, either directly or I would miraculously find the information I needed, but I still had to take them.
- I would find the books I needed, but I still had to read them.
And so the list goes on.
This to me has been always how it worked, I didn’t attract the end directly, but rather the means to that end. I still had to take the baton and run with it.
This is where most people let themselves down. They fail to act or even make a decision until it’s too late or they decide to always play it safe all the time, never stepping out no matter how many opportunities come their way.
Without action, the only thing you attract is stagnation. Everything is always in motion and it is either growing or disintegrating. If you do not act to grow your life. It will slowly disintegrate around you.

Bob Proctor Partnership - Business Plan Update
|
| January 16th, 2007 under Articles.
|
|
Not so much an update as a clean up.
Originally the plan was just cut and pasted from MS Word into the form, resulting in some …interesting… formatting. I have done a lot of tidying up and it is now a lot cleaner and easier to read.
Hopefully some content will be added later this week. I got an email from Paul Martinelli at Life Success today saying he is meeting with Bob later this week to discuss some of the finer details of how the Japan partnership will be handled. This was in response to an email I sent him on the weekend requesting a lot of information.
Things are looking good. They are keen to go ahead as soon as I have enough funds. So please feel free to pass this opportunity to as many people as you like.

I.E. is evil

| January 15th, 2007 under Articles.

Completely off the topic of the site, but I wanted to express my heartfelt dissapointment with Internet Explorer.
Anger, fury and frustration are words that more adequately describe this feeling, but are more unproductive.
It is suprisingly easy to get the site looking great in Firefox (which I wholeheartedly reccomend btw) but Internet Explorer defies me at every turn like a rebellious teenager. Ignoring my most clear layout instructions and doing what it believes should be done. Which, for those of you using internet explorer, is painfully obvious as the incorrect path of action.
At least half of the time I spent developing the layout of this site was trying to trick, force, bribe, negotiate and beg IE to cooperate. However I should admire it’s persistence.
So to those of you with I.E. I apologise for things not quite lining up.
Two good pieces of news though.
Firstly, I have put up some information regarding a fantastic opportunity to become a partner with Bob Proctor.
Secondly, I am announcing a competition to give away some Bob Proctor CD packs to people subscribing to my newsletter.

Busy Weekend

One of Bob’s secrets to living a fulfilling life is to live ‘on purpose’. When we have no goals or dreams and therefore no substantial purpose in our lives, we quite naturally feel like our life has no meaning. We are listless, unfocussed, easily distracted, always tired, bored and usually miserable.
We often try to drown this lack of purpose in distractions such as TV, alcohol, the opposite sex, shopping, drugs, eating, and my number 1 distraction, computer games, among others. All of these things are fine on their own but when they are used to dull the perceived pain of living they become a crutch and addiction.
It is pointless to try to break these addictions without finding a purpose, because nature abhors a vacuum and unless you consciously fill the void you that then create in your life you will just slip in another addiction. For example an eating addiction could turn into a dieting addiction, TV into reading, drinking into TV and so on.
The only way to be rid of destructive addictions permanently is to find purpose in your life. Purpose cannot be given to you by another either. You must find and accept it for yourself.
If you take your purpose from another, a spouse, friend, parent etc. no matter how much you achieve you will never be totally satisfied, or fulfilled. You will always feel like you have been living someone else’s dream. Which you have. You can also never reach your full potential when you are living off your purpose.
You do the same when you force your purpose and dreams onto others. You take from them their purpose, and the ability to reach their full potential.
When you live on purpose however, you feel energized, and you work harder, faster, better and it doesn’t feel at all like work. It’s like you are doing your favorite hobby.
As Bob Doyle says on The Secret;
Action will sometimes be required. But if you are doing it in line with what the universe is trying to deliver, it’s going to feel joyous; you’re going to feel so alive. Time will just stop. You could do it all day.
So what does this have to do with my good weekend?
Well this weekend I have been working on my businesses and web pages. Particularly I made a new theme which I will be uploading onto this site soon, and I spent some time in research and doing emails for my Life Success Partnership business.
I have been working relentlessly with barely a break, and only a few hours of sleep, but I feel far more awake and energized than even my best days at my ‘job’ with a full nights sleep. I have had a great time despite having worked so ruthlessly.
This was because I was working on purpose. All the things I did were in line with what I intend for the future and all the ‘work’ in them was replaced by ‘fun’.
I am also energized by how much help I am attracting towards getting the partnership up and going. This is going to be a big thing for those lucky enough to be involved.

Law of Attraction in Action
|
| January 12th, 2007 under Articles.

Lately, I have been putting literally all of my spare money into my business, leaving nothing to play with.
Then a friend from work asked me to go snowboarding next weekend.
I asked him how much it would cost and he said all up about 10,000 yen ($90US) for the day.
I did a quick check of my disposable cash, and as next weekend is 3 days before pay day, I only had about 5,000 yen spare. So I started wondering how can I get this other money. I hate borrowing money, even small amounts, so I was trying to think of a way to make it.
I put the intention to go snowboarding out to see what I could come up with.
Last night I got this email:
Hi Daniel,
How are things going?
Several months ago ****** San from ****** deposited about 6000 yen in my bank account because he had never gotten your account info for the lesson you did there last year.
I completely forgot about this until now.
If you would like to get this from me let me know what would be this best way to get it to you.
Even small miracles happen.

Hello all, I’m Daniel and I am taking over this site from Mike and hopefully moving it in a new and positive direction.
I would like to firstly thank Mike for making this happen. Getting this site has been an exercise itself in using the secret. Well, the secret is out, and so there need be no more speculation about what it is. The secret is the law of attraction. For many of us this is no new secret, but for most of mankind it is a secret, and one which they are most likely not using to their benefit. (As a quick look at the state of the world will attest to). So this site will be moving away from wondering about the secret and into how you can use it to improve your life.
Who am I to be talking about this? A good question, so let me fill you in about myself briefly. I am currently a Life Success Coach with Bob Proctor’s Life Success Consulting group. Those of you who have seen the movie will know that Bob is one of the main teachers in the movie. I received my training at the foot of Bob Himself, and also off the president of Life Success Consulting, Paul Martinelli, Bob’s protégé and sometimes speaking partner. That aside I have been a student of these concepts for well over 15 years and have applied them throughout my life to achieve what I considered at the time to be great successes, and I am still using them today to move even further forward into the life I want.
I won’t present a concept here that I haven’t used in the past or, as with many of them, are still using today. So everything I will talk about is based upon actual experience as well as study.
Most of the topics on the sidebar are currently still under construction, but I wanted to give an idea of the material that will be presented here even before I actually presented it. I will keep you all informed as I update the information. The first I will work on is going to be the exciting opportunity available for interested investors to partner with Bob Proctor in bringing his teachings to the world.
Daniel.
