    ‘The Secret’ is from the same stable as “What the Bleep do we know anyway”. ‘The Bleep’ was New Age religion masquerading as science.

    Essentially, when man takes a personal big ‘G’ God out of the equation we are left with materialism and/or mysticism/pantheism. The “Bleep” was a modern revision of these ideas. ‘The Bleep’ combined both the essence of materialism in the form of quantum physics and mysticism in the form of the New Age religion.

    I would guess that ‘The Secret’ is some practical application of both these world views. Probably making the claims that we will become like gods and never die. No-one has come up with a new idea since Moses wrote the Torah.
